Privacy

TassieNow is an independent Tasmanian discovery service. You can browse places and events without creating an account.

Information we handle

When you choose Near Me, your browser requests location permission. The location is used in your browser to calculate nearby listings; TassieNow does not require you to submit precise coordinates to use the directory.

When you submit a form, we may process the name, contact details, listing information and message you provide to respond, review corrections or manage your enquiry. Do not include sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.

Analytics and technical logs

To improve discovery and show aggregate referral activity, TassieNow may count first-party page views, filter/search interactions and categories of outbound clicks by page and day. These counters do not store your search words, precise location, IP address or an identifying visitor ID. A browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal disables the first-party counters. These are interaction counts, not unique visitors.

TassieNow may use Cloudflare's privacy-conscious web analytics and essential server security logs to understand use, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. External booking, map and business websites have their own privacy practices.

Corrections and privacy enquiries

To request a correction or ask about personal information in a submission, use the contact or enquiry channels linked on this website. We review requests before changing published records.
